The institute has a full-fledged & separate Training & Placement Cell operates in HEC under able guidance of experienced TPO and this cell takes care of the following:

Training & Placement Department at HEC aims at overall development of students career start from entry in the college in 1st year with Induction/Orientation, Personality Development, Summer Internships, Industrial Visits, Expert Lectures by Industry professionals, In-House classes on Aptitude & English (Written and Spoken), Group Discussion and finally leading to healthy placement during 4th/final year in the Campus and Off Campus. Training & Placement Department has signed MOU with Aspiring Minds Assessment Private Ltd., Gurgaon for AMCAT Test, eLitmus for PH test for testing of B.Tech.  Students for placement in reputed IT companies. Triniti, Chandigarh is placement training partner and coaching the students from 2nd year onward till 4th year provide pre placement training to final year students for campus placement in the college campus.

Aspiring Minds Assessment Private Ltd., Gurgaon has ranked Haryana Engineering College with in top 10% of Engineering Colleges of Haryana for consecutive 02 years, 2014 & 2015 based upon performance of students in AMCAT exam.

Haryana Engineering College got distinction of getting 99th All India Rank for the year 2014 out of 144 Engineering Colleges evaluated during this period by Data Quest Magazine, 15-31, March, 2014 edition.
