HEC-A-Thon

HEC-A-Thon 2K19

Our college is organizing an event “HEC-A-Thon 2K19”- Software & Hardware Edition on 11th &12th April 2019. It is a continuous 24-hr event. It is an initiative to provide students a platform to solve some of pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem solving. A total of 22 teams took participate in our event out of which 12 got selected for the grand finale. Each team has 6 members.

The first round of the event was a pre-event presentation round held on March 26, 2019. In this round the teams proposed their ideas and after evaluation 12 teams were finalized for the event to be held on 11th -12th April, 2019.

A team of evaluators which included both internal college faculty members as well as external evaluators from different esteemed institutes and organizations.

The teams finalized for the event are as follows:

RULES FOR “Hec-A-Thon”

  • Rules for forming a Team:
  1. Members of different branches are encouraged.
  2. Each team would comprise of 6 members including the Team Leader regardless of any stream and year.
  3. The team name should be unique and not contain the name of institute in any form.
  4. Teams are free to choose any mentor.
  • Rules for Idea Submission:
  1. Idea submission must be made only by the Team Leader.
  2. Submission dates must be strictly followed. No exceptions will be made.
  3.  Submission of the idea should be done in the prescribed format.
  4. One team can submit maximum 2/3 ideas.
  5. During idea evaluation you need to prepare a Ppt describing the idea.
  6. Once the idea is selected you cannot change the project.
  • Selection Criteria
  1. Evaluation criteria will include novelty of the idea, complexity, clarity and details in the prescribed format, feasibility, practicability, sustainability, scale of impact, user experience and potential for future work progression.
  • Miscellaneous Information
  1. Intellectual property of the idea would belong to the team members.
  2. The project must be written during the event. You cannot use the existing project.
  3. Download all the necessary assets (IDE, SDK, etc) before the event.

You are however permitted to use any publicly available open source resources in your project.
